London – June 18, 2018 – A judging panel at the Transatlantic Legal Awards has named Cooley its Capital Markets Team of the Year. The annual awards ceremony, which highlights cross-border law firm accomplishments, is jointly hosted by Legal Week, The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel.
“We continue to solidify our status as a dominant leader in capital markets and public offerings across the US, including special experience in cross-border capital markets transactions,” said Justin Stock, Cooley’s UK managing partner.
“It’s a privilege to partner with companies and their investment banks who lead the charge in growth and innovation,” said David Peinsipp, who, alongside Charlie Kim, co-chairs Cooley’s global capital markets practice group.
“This recognition is a reflection of the powerful team dynamics at Cooley. Every day we work as a team across offices and geographies to provide the best results for our clients,” Kim added. “This deep commitment to collaboration is the reason why we have had so much cross-border success.”
The Transatlantic Legal Awards recognize law firms for excellence in handling transatlantic matters across the key areas of corporate, finance and disputes, as well as highlighting in-house leaders and law firm innovation, commitment to pro bono and outstanding transatlantic strategy.
Cooley’s London office has built out robust practices, including corporate/M&A, finance, venture capital & private equity, capital markets, technology transactions, insurance, litigation, IP, product compliance & liability, white collar crime, tax, employment, competition and privacy & data protection, among others.
